When choosing the right industrial vacuum cleaner for your application there are a number of factors to consider:

What you want to collect

The Jumbo Vac product range of industrial vacuums are designed in a variety of sizes to suit every application, industry sector as well as agriculture.

Whether your job involves lifting dry or wet material, or sometimes both there is a Jumbo Vac to suit.

Starting at 60 litre capacity and going up to 650 litres no job is too big or too small for the Jumbo Vac.

Do you need a mobile unit or will you use a fixed pipe work?

The entire Jumbo Vac product range can be used with flexible hose, available in lengths to suit and can also be connected to a fixed pipework.  From 60 litres up to 150 litres the Jumbo Vac range come on 4 wheel trolleys, making them totally mobile and allowing access to all areas of your workspace.

The Jumbo Vac XL 650 can be moved around using a forklift.

What do you intend to do with the collected material?

Depending on what you’re picking up, you may want to simply dispose of the collected material, or you may want to reintroduce it to the production line.

We have a range of emptying options to suit whatever you need.  The Jumbo Vac 60 comes with the easy empty set down drum, makes this Jumbo Vac supper easy to empty. If collecting spillages the material can be collected and tipped into a container.

The Jumbo Vac Wet & Dry Separator allows the user to pick up a mixture of coolant and swarf chips.  The sieve basket allows the separation of liquids and solids meaning expensive coolants can be re-used.

The Jumbo Vac 80 and XL 150 can be used with heavy duty disposable waste bags.  These are ideal when cleaning up dust and debris that you simply need to dispose of.

Accessibility of areas to be cleaned

Your choice of Jumbo Vac may be influenced by the accessibility of the area to be cleaned.

Almost all Jumbo Vac industrial vacuums come  on a 4 wheel trolley making them completely mobile.  If you have a large open floor space such as a warehouse the Floor Master Jumbo Vac  would be ideal.  This front mounted floor brush is compatible with the Jumbo Vac 60, 80 and the XL 150.  The brush is 710mm wide allowing the operator to clean wide swathes with each pass.  It can also be supplied with a rubber blade for clearing floors of spills and flood water.

If you are in a more congested space with lots of machines and equipment or you have high ceilings, ducts, walls to clean then you may want to consider a longer hose and adding the All Areas Tool Kit.  This kit is comprised of various 38mm Ø long reach wands, dusting brush, heavy duty aluminium adjustable floor brush and crevice tool that can be used to clean all surfaces, even your production equipment.

If your area is split level or over a large area you might want to install a fixed pipework.  This can have several connection points to attach your hose, leaving your Jumbo Vac static.  If you will consistently have large volumes of material to collect then installing the XL 650 could be the most efficient option for you.

Is power available?

The Jumbo Vac is a single phase industrial vacuum.  It can be supplied as either 110v or 230v.

The Jumbo Vac 230v is supplied with 10m of 2.5mm cable and a 16 amp plug; the Jumbo Vac 110v is supplied with 10m of 2.5mm cable and a 32 amp plug.

If you’re working on a site with the 110v Jumbo Vac you will need to use a continuous rated transformer / site box of at least 5KVA.

You can operate the Jumbo Vac of a generator if required.  It will need to be a minimum of 10 KVA to run the Jumbo Vac.
